We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter. Used exclusively to send the Ragnar Monthly newsletter. Legal basis: your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Usage data (analytics) — pages visited, session duration, country (approximate), device type. Collected anonymously via Google Analytics 4. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). No personal identifiers are stored.
- Payment data — if you become a Patreon member, all payment processing is handled entirely by Patreon, Inc. We do not receive or store any payment card information. See Patreon's Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Sending you the newsletter you subscribed to (email only)
- Improving website content and performance (aggregated analytics)
- Complying with our legal obligations
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — website analytics. Data is anonymised. Google Privacy Policy.
- Patreon (Patreon, Inc.) — membership and payment processing. Patreon Privacy Policy.
- Newsletter platform (email delivery provider acting as data processor) — email delivery for newsletter subscribers. Your email is stored on their servers under a data processing agreement. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- Instagram / Facebook (Meta Platforms) — social media embeds and links. If you visit our social profiles, Meta's terms apply.
5. Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — to understand how visitors use the site
- Functional cookies — to remember your preferences (e.g. language)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect site functionality.

- Newsletter emails — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Analytics data — retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default), then automatically deleted

Some third-party providers (Google, Patreon) may transfer data outside the EU. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards under GDPR.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.
